After becoming property of Johann Friedrich Gensichen, the library of Kant was auctioned along with that of Gensichen. The printed catalogue, compiled on the death of Gensichen, includes both the libraries: there is a list of 848 bibliographical descriptions enumerated in continuous succession and subdivided in two parts. The first part, including the books of Kant’s library, is organized as follows:

Warda maintains that an exchange of books belonging to the two libraries is likely to have occurred.
