The sale catalogue compiled on the death of Raoul-Rochette consists of a continuous succession of 3363 descriptions divided, in the traditional scheme of the Parisian booksellers, into five classes: Théologie et histoire des religions (nos. 1-224), Jurisprudence (nos. 225-235), Sciences et arts (nos. 236-600), Belles lettres (nos. 601-1002), Histoire (nos. 1002-3363), further divided into subclasses. The classification scheme is illustrated in the Table Méthodique that precedes the catalogue. The index of the names is missing. An eulogy of R. Rochette by Paulin Paris and a short essay about his life by J. Techener are prefixed to the catalogue.
